2D Barcode

Basics

  • A Barcode that uses 2 axis/dimensions
  • Can thus store much more data
  • Can be interlaced 1D Barcodes, Dot Matrixs, Spirals Circular Lines, or a combination of these
  • Usually use a camera to be read
  • Most commonly used are QR Codes and Data Matrix
  • Can Have Error Checking which is useful for easily damaged items, and/or items in use for a long time that will still need a working barcode
  • Usually Black and White, but for unique High Data Uses, things like JAB Code and High Capacity Color Barcode exist
