3D Model to Papercraft

Intro

For rapid prototyping, it is useful to model parts in various ways - an easy one being paper models. There is open source 3D software to do this.

OS Options

• DXF2papercraft - http://dxf2papercraft.sourceforge.net/

• Status: OSE untested; after download, double-clicking on the 64 bit executable does not run under Ubuntu 15.10

• Blender Export Paper Model - http://www.instructables.com/id/Papercraft-With-Blender/

• Status - installed.
• How to export?

Hint: Needs video instructional for how to use within OSE workflow. Common format for modeling is STL or STEP. Difine a procedure for importing from FreeCAD, then exporting an SVG paper model, and opening it up in Inkscape
