Note that all 5 cases, shown at bottom of article, are different from OSE in that they are focused enterprises with specialized services, where such specialization requires trade to meet other needs. This is unlike the goal of OSE-like enterprise ecosystems, where the goal is to keep everything open source to maximize self-determination. The OSE package involves the open source economy, where zero waste substitutes for artificial scarcity. Exchange of value thus happen voluntarily in the OSE ecosystem, based on self-determination theory, ie, where easy provision of essential needs promotes the pursuit of self-determination. Where are the holes in this argument?
