DIY PVC Solvent
- To assist in the Degeneracy of overall civilization redesign experiments, we prefer acetone, a common solvent. One common use is PVC primer, and other uses are in thinning paints or cleaning off label glue residue.
- Acetone dissolves oil-based pigment inks [1] and alcohol-based inks. Make your own primer for PVC plumbing. Clear works, but inspectors require a colorant with 'purple primer' being common. This says CPVC primer should not be used on PVC [2]
- Thus, make your own 'pvc primer' from acetone and colorant, and in a bind, juice some grass and use green pigment for visible priming of PVC joints. Otherwise, clear acetone works just as well, but you cannot tell easily where the acetone has been applied.
