Introduction

The Universal Power Supply project of the GVCS was discussed recently on Amp Hour, an internet broadcast:

Followup

Hello OSE Good Peoples!

So as a followup, we did mention the OSE project and the needs of the Universal Power Supply going forward on The Amp Hour. It was fun to talk about and I plan to talk about it again in the future. Here's the episode if you did not hear it and are interested: http://www.theamphour.com/2012/01/02/the-amp-hour-76-fremescent-floccose-fortification/

We also collected names of people that would be interested in participating as domain experts and it seems our net was cast in the right pond! See this Google spreadsheet for volunteers and domain experience: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0ApcXaBNOkmyTdEpqVldKSldMMmpBNEVyMWZtUXlheHc&single=true&gid=1&output=html. It seems there are some very relevant participants who are interested!

So what next? I started adding some content to the wiki to try and help steer the direction we need to move, but I am more interested with how this has worked on other projects. Is there a project manager? Who sets up the division of labor? I doubt it comes from the top (Marcin) so I assume there is someone assigned. Perhaps a Google+ video meet and greet with all those listed would be a good first step to talk more about experiences and try to get others talking outside of email? Or some other way of meeting virtually?

Looking forward to the project!
