  • Miracle Orchard people - Hello Friends,

OSE is offering its last workshop of the year in November - our Open Source Aquaponic Greenhouse. See the Aquaponic Greenhouse Introduction Video - an overview of the Extreme Build workshop, and a walk through all the systems: https://vimeo.com/141252002. You can register for the workshop at http://bit.ly/1QNUs4c. Please pass this on to your networks or join us for the build if you would like an extreme immersion experience. How quickly can we replicate such builds to other locations after training more people how to build these? We are pioneering Extreme Manufacturing - efficient, community-based manufacturing based on open source blueprints. This is going well. Can this become a contender to centralized production? Thanks, Marcin

  • Sustainable Human, Hackaday - Recently, we are asking an important question:

Is it possible to build an 800 square foot greenhouse that is capable of producing a complete diet for 2 people, using only waste organic materials as the inputs? See the 3 minute explainer - http://bit.ly/1QNUs4c

Can you repost this?

  • Nina - Hi Nina,

How are things? I went through some of your links - interesting views at the undueinfluence site. Do you have a link to any websites of this nature from another side of the issue?

We are moving forward well, and starting an Open Building Institute project for open source, ecological housing. This is an additional project area, as we move forward with machines and agriculure on the other.

The current project revolves around local food. Recently, we are asking an important question: Is it possible to build an 800 square foot greenhouse that is capable of producing a complete diet for 2 people, using only waste organic materials as the inputs? See the 3 minute explainer - http://bit.ly/1QNUs4c Would the Slow Money people be interested in this? Can they help promote or collaborate on this? Can you make an introduction? Other suggestions welcome.

Hello Friends,

At OSE, we are producing open source blueprints for civilization.

Along these lines, OSE is offering its last workshop of the year in November - our Open Source Aquaponic Greenhouse.

We have yet to see the first ever Distributive Enterprise on earth. A distributive enterprise is one which publishes its own business plan and operations. Can this provide livelihoods in the next economy?

Our next major stride forward is team building, as we gather our learnings on open source collaboration from the last 8 years - and move forward to create high performing development teams. Can this become a bootstrapping process that can bring about its own support through the creation of distributive enterprise?

There are many questions, and answers are coming in one by one with time.

If you have any suggestions on the technical design of the aquaponic greenhouse - feel free to share. We are getting qaulity feedback so far.

Thanks, Marcin

  • Next Edge FB- Is it possible to provide a full diet from an extreme aquaponic greenhouse of only 800 square feet? This is what we are experimenting with. Feedback on the numbers in the program description are welcome for the calories produced. http://opensourceecology.org/aquaponic-greenhouse-workshop/
  • OSE FB - For the aquaponics workshop, our modular construction system allows for small or large greenhouses to be built. We are building a larger, 800 square foot instance. 38 days until the workshop. Early registration until Oct. 16. http://opensourceecology.org/aquaponic-greenhouse-workshop/.
