Sustainable and localized bioplastic production is proposed to be a division of an open source agroecological approach to producing basic materials in a open source post-scarcity economy. Key to the success of such an enterprise is reduction of capital costs by designing robust open source processes and necessary hardware. This will be done during the refinement of the biorefinery as part of the GVCS III, but an enterprise plan that accounts for profitability will need to be further developed. An enterprise plan will assess the localized market for products and consumed materials to create a social enterprise that contributes to abundance.
