My recommendation would be to focus on those who work with you professionally, since the contributions from pure volunteers, while important, serve best to flesh out the picture: you'll need to provide the backbone. In a worst case scenario, community members and agendas can crowd out your leadership early on.

From Donna - I think Mark is saying what we said to you but in another way. Create your story. Yours as in Marcin's and why you started Open Source Ecology. See how your volunteers help feed the mission, but don't OWN it. The volunteers own their contribution to the mission and the mission but not the creation of the work.
