Basics

• Also known as Copper(II) chloride, or Cupric chloride
• Formula of CuCl2
• Has many uses, but the main use case to OSE is as an Etchant

Use as an Etchant for PCBs=

• Copper chloride is reusable either by
  • Dilution with more hydrocloric acid
  • Chemical Reprocessing to remove copper and impurities
• The chemical reprocessing is more simple than other etchants, and it is also easy to reuse via dillution due to the availability, and cost of hydrochloric acid
