D3D Ceramic Printer

Basics

• Part of the Open Source Digital Fabrication Construction Set
• A D3D Printer modified to print ceramic parts
• Does so by using a special syringe and tube insead of the usual extruder and nozzle (also needs a screw-pipe based extruder, and perhaps a seccindary pump of sorts near the resevoir, if using a remote system)

• Art
• Ultra High Temperature Parts
• Metal Casting Molds
• Plastic Injection Molding Molds

Industry Standards

• Wasp Version (note they may be a good source for the extruder as well) (On Nozzle Screw Extruder + Plunger)
• DeltaBot (Plunger Based exccept for largest which is plunger with an optional add on of a continious flow system)

Minimum Viable Product

• Modular
• Precise
• Not limited to a small syringe or resevoir of clay (IE Able to do Large Prints)
