Edufactory

A physical facility for learning and production. It constitutes a model of social transformation based on coupling practical skills with a vision of global stewardship and responsibility. The general process follows a stage of awakening through reality shock, gaining of skills to build one's capacity, and taking on responsibility in leadership positions or as independent entrepreneurs. The edufactory is similar to a campus of an enterprise, except we work on an experiment of a community that models responsible stewardship of global prosperity, democracy, and freedom. We favor a bootstrapped enterprise approach, supported by the network of edufactories worldwide - each tuning in to relevance in their local environment - and collaborating with the broader global community according to principles of open source ecology: collaborative design for a transparent and inclusive economy of abundance.
