Electronic Design Guidelines

From Open Source Ecology
Jump to: navigation, search

Electronic designs should be as simple as possible and be programmable if possible. Use the AVR ATMEGA if possible so the design can be arduino compatible.

Choosing a common set of components to use where possible will help with fabrication. We can share these symbols and footprints so designing is faster. Designs should be done in open source software KiCAD or Gnu Electronic Design Automation tools.

Look at existing designs and try to use the same components. http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/Replication_of_CEB_Controller

This is a list of circuits we need: http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/Electronics_List

Standard connectors:

Standard connector for 12V output and input

Standard connector for solenoid control terminals
