Electrostatic Precipitator
Basics
- A Device that Uses Electrically Charged Plates/Componets, and Air Flow to cause particles to become charged, then cluster on one of the surfaces, then being densified, and often removed from the flow removed as a solid
- Useful as they can collect very fine particles, and short of acidic/basic gasses etc, they need no replacement of componets (unlike filters)
- Can be room scale, or industrial gas treatment
Internal Links
- Fanless Air Ionizer a similar concept, that has no fan, and only 1 electrode
