Reviewed options for macintosh compatible screen capture software, investigated options based on http://video-capture-software-review.toptenreviews.com/mac-video-capture-software/

Tested ScreenRecord Studio, found capture choppiness to be inferior to iShowU.

Investigated iShowU license transferability. According to the site a single license should be valid for multiple machines as long as only one instance is running at a time, however I have been unable to install a complete version using Rob's license key.

License issue resolved, Rob's key was for iShowU, I had iShowU HD installed. We will purchase an iShowU HD license for the enhanced HD performance and 3D optimization.

Draft iShowU Instructions

iShowU HD is a screen capture program capable of recording the contents of your entire display in real time HD in a variety of formats. It is also capable of capturing selected segments of the display as well as audio from your microphone. Audio out recording is available only in the Pro upgrade of the application.

iShowU HD is only compatible with Mac OSX.

iShowU uses a user-account based license which permits the application to be installed on multiple computers, but use on only one computer at a time. OSE therefor requests that DPV's install the program using the license at the beginning of their project and uninstall upon completion. To install the program, first download the installer from [1] if this link is broken download the installer from the shiny white box website [2]. Install the application. Note that the installer is for both iShowU HD and iShowU HD Pro.

After installation is complete open the application. You will be prompted with a window "Thanks for trying iShowU HD." Select HD and then click Unlock. The Email address and Password will be provided to you by OSE administrators upon request. Once these are entered the application should launch with full functionality.
