Ergonomics Certification
Evaluation and certification system where performance and quality is measured by the time it takes for a student to complete a task, and the quality of the resulting outcome.
At OSE, students contribute to defining such standards. Since OSE is making production transparent, transparent productivity metrics that can be applied fairly in evaluating performance are a critical aspect of distributed production on a level playing field.
Ergonomics certification includes transparency on the production method itself: the design of product used, the tooling and skills required, and everything else needed for replicating such a production method without a 'replication crisis' - which is a common feature of a proprietary economy which we aim to transcend.
If such transparency is provided within human systems of manufacturing and intellectual production - then we have come a long way to designing a civilization that is transparent, efficient, and humane - based on open access to productive knowhow. This is a major stride in leveling the playing field, where fairness and equal opportunity begins to dominate over proprietary, exclusive monopolies or cartels such as the NCAA or OPEC [1].
