Subject: Tuesday meeting opportunity on sustainability and intentional community development
To:

Hello!
My name is Bentley and I'm offering someone/s to participate in a meeting on Tuesday at 4pm EST(the 19th), over zoom to discuss an interdisciplinary model for expressing minimalistic, efficient and sustainable infrastructure practices for individuals, societies and climate disruption affected communities around the world. Potential collaborations and focused discussions in the future are also considerations for this meeting.
This connects to humanitarian models that scale, address fundamental human needs and offer internet based opportunities to empower locals to bolster their communities.
The community model scales are for 5-14 people, 135, 1,000 and 40,000.
A major part of this is the incorporation of internet access, corresponding tools, AI (like collaborative language learning practices and career opportunities), and inclusive cultural institutions.
Currently attending this meeting are the following people:
Myself, my research and the goals I have with the Futurism Institute. Democratic participation practices of the future and the role of AI is a major focus for me.
I'd love to work within an NGO or people similarly committed to these goals.
Logan Perkins, who has modeled autoless city designs and aspects like the community spaces that foster a livable city.
He's designed a human dignity needs index applicable to modern society and a new model for the US constitution.
He had a nonprofit called priorities institute and has insight into medium scale city design and political activism expertise.
Alexis is a living example and designer of decentralized infrastructure that could feasibly sustain over 8 billion people.
The relationship with nature and technology incidentally created with daylight drive infrastructure is far healthier and more conducive to slow, intentional living.
He has been living in and building a net positive community that lives off the land next to Twin Oaks (both are a part of the Federation of Egalitarian Communities),
utilizing things like proper insulation within stucco buildings in the Virginia area that allow for passive heating and cooling. No HVAC systems are needed.
Alexis built DC applicable appliances, including one of the world's most sustainable fridges and an affordable combine model using fewer parts than any other in the world,
which is just about to enter production on a global scale.
Here's the meeting outline so far. Feel free to add any prompts or introduction questions,
Both Logan and Alexis are also organic farmers, working with emergent property management techniques related to self-sufficient urban and rural communities.
I'm completely mobile at the moment, with a solar living trailer I haul around intentional communities and sleep out of. A major thing I can offer is attendance to relevant conferences,
experimenting with public engagement forms and meeting with potential collaborators around the US. The three of us have worked in education and can bring experience to
conversation around communicating a vision to the public and things like workshops around it.
As you might notice with my Futurism Institute, refurbishing the relationship between the learner, citizen and the internet is a major goal of mine.
I've come to believe that the integrated, holistic approach of all of these modalities in modeling sustainable and futuristic ways of life is the key to refining and
expanding it into relevant spheres of policy, disaster relief, community development and cultural evolution.
I spend a lot of time researching AI and the direction it's taking, and my concern is obviously heightened with the election results.
I'd be honored to have anyone in this conversation to deliberate and imagine an integrated approach toward these goals and action plans.
I both have an immediate investment opportunity and grant application writing experience in general.
The considerations of IOT, automation and especially automated tech workers are points of discussion I'd love to bring up, in addition to discussing AI ethics in general.
I'm also coming from a video editing and film background, with interest in engaging educational content that can illustrate the goals we would discuss in this meeting.
(My partner and I have an opportunity with a producer to create a documentary around intentional community. Activism angles are what I'd be curious to bring to it).
I'd be thrilled to hear any ideas, visions or projects that you're looking to collaborate on or share as well.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration. I hope you're faring well during these wild times of our societies. I hope to hear from you!
~With love, Bentley
