GVCS Design App

I am thinking about basic design of House Modules and Machines - towards creating software that allows users to make basic designs from established modules. This will be critical for involving a greater design capacity to facilitate global design contribution to the GVCS.

Is there software that you know of that can take modules and snap them together? For example, take a tractor frame, and snap a modular wheel unit on it? Or a foundation and snap a wall to it?

Is this the type of stuff you are talking about developing with your assembly modeler?

OSE is planning a CEB Press release for April, 2015. I'd like to have as a minimum the ability for people to take building modules and snap them together to begin designing their own houses.

What is the closest to house design using modules that you have seen? Sweet Home 3D is somewhat like that, as it has modules of different components that can be placed in a room.

I am getting at creating an app that allows one to design a home using well-defined modules - typically 4x8 panels (carpentry, CEB wall, etc).

Are there any of the Lego modeling softwares that allow you to create custom modules?
