Ground Freezing
From Open Source Ecology
Basics
- A Method of Soil Stabalization (Typically used to block liquids) where the soil of an area is refrigerated via pipes acting as a heat exchanger
- This freezes all moisture, keeping the area firm, as well as preventing water, or other liquids from passing through
- It also has potential applications in Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage

- Pykrete (Any long term usage of this requires active cooling, and thus a system similar to that used in Ground Freezing)
