Hydrogen Compressors
From Walt Pyle
"Would you say that the compressor route is a preferred route to the 33 bar electrolyzer - on grounds of practicality for the off-grid homestead?"
No, I think a medium or high pressure electrolyzer with no moving parts is the way to go.
You will not like the compressor prices either.
However, I will give you a list of vendors past and present for one of your possible reviewers to use. Maybe there is something new, that is less costly with vendors at this juncture. At least one of these manufacturers may be defunct, or acquired by another company, or been renamed over the years.
Here is a link to the different types of hydrogen compressors to get an over-view https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_compressor
These manufacturers are from my files; some are too large to consider for your application, however I included them to make the list complete:

This is another list I found from Engineering 360 which overlaps my list: https://www.globalspec.com/industrial-directory/hydrogen_gas_compressors
Here is another list that is a good place to start: http://www.directindustry.com/industrial-manufacturer/hydrogen-compressor-149209.html
If a review is made I would like to be copied on the results that your group obtains.
