- For example, take the 3D printer or microtractor. Instead of shipping a product, one can:
- Provide a high quality educational build manual
- Provide one-click drop shipping of parts
- The buyer then assembles the product themselves.
- This function as in information product 'kit' - resulting in a physical product
- Because this product is digitized - its sales can scale without effort of the provider. This requires the fulfillment system build manual to be produced.
- A support community can be created online, and consulting can be offered by expert builders
