Institutional Design
The design of human institutions across all sectors of society, with a focus on institutions for democratic consolidation. The design scope involves the design of experiments to prototype, build, and test the new design.
The motivation behind ID is upgrading today's institutions, many of which are dysfunctional. For example, nobody has figured out stable democratic governance (it's always at risk of authoritarian takeover), an equitable financial system as in the distribution of wealth, well-rounded education, universal literacy, environmental integrity, and many other potential risks to the continuity of human civilization.
