Participated in design sprint. Agreed to perform calculations regarding structural aspects of the backhoe.

Spent all day today and yesterday trying to debug geometry calculations for the backhoe. Gave up and used conservative approximations for estimating the forces on the bucket tip and the moment the first actuator would have to exert. Posting weight calculations as well for the boom, stick, links, and bucket. Sketch: [1] Weight: [2] General calculations: [3]

Added commentary to my calculations and reformatted them to make them more friendly. Tried again to revise geometry calculations, without apparent success. The larger boom cylinder is still reading too weak for extensions higher than 55 inches. I need to find out the actual possible extension for the boom cylinder. Switched over to excel for the better solver function. File is available here: [4]
