LifeTrac Prototype II Wheel Motor Coupling Strategy

The bottom drawing at http://openfarmtech.org/index.php/LifeTrac_2D_Drawings shows the motor and shafts as on the present LifeTrac.

Our proposed strategy is:

1. Motor
2. Motor bolted to motor coupling plate with 2 3/4" bolts for attaching to frame
3. Motor coupler going from 1.25" shaft (see motor specs) to 6-spline male PTO shaft
4. 4 bolt bearing
5. Another 4 bolt bearing
6. Coupling to wheel plate via 3/4" pin

The above allows you to take off the hydraulic motor by taking out the 2 3/4" bolts and sliding the motor out of the spline coupler, for motor interchangeability on the time scale of under a minute.
