Meritocratic Governance

Rule by those with demonstrated merit to make grounded decisions on the management and prosperity of a given enterprise. Such merit is provided by demonstrated performance, is peer-reviewed, and is documented transparently. This is a governance pattern characteristic of open enterprises. This is the opposite of favoritism or inheritance. It is a governance pattern based on demonstrated and continuing performance, not endowment status or birth.
