MicroTrac definitely needs a trailer:

I think they (BCS/Grillo/Agria) have differential steering with the two wheels? You can lock the differential too for straight line applications.

Check out these Holder tractor videos:

A rear fork setup like the Holder 35 would be useful on LifeTrac. Keeps weight in the rear. Pop a pallet on there and use it like a truck around the farm. You could also make a quick detach weight box/module that could be swapped for the forks.

I'd like to build a LifeTrac with just rear lift forks, no front end loader. PTO front and rear to run different items. That's it. Would keep the cost down and be useful for me right away.

What are the least horsepower engines that can be fitted to LifeTrac and MicroTrac?

I see the small Hatz diesels, would they work in MicroTrac?: http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?UID=2009072621101844&item=28-1617&catname=engines

Just wondering.

Here is a nice homebuilt tractor, 4 wheel steer etc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x9BsHKDwK0&feature=channel
