Start with bottom cylinder mount assembly:

  • [1] Cut 1/2"X6"x12" plate
  • [2] Cut 1/2"x4"x6" plate
  • Mag drill or punch [4] 3/4" holes in 6"x12" plate for attachment of main cylinder to frame
  • Mag drill or punch [2] 1" pin holes on each 4"x6" plate for attachment of main cylinder
  • Weld a reinforcing gusset nut - 1" drilled out nut onto 4"x6" plates
  • Tack [2] plates about 3.5" apart for cylinder mounting
  • Weld assembly together with cylinder pin in place (prevents shifting)

Move to top of main cylinder, which is also the mount for the secondary cylinder – call this the common cylinder mount.

  • [2] Cut 6”x12” plate
  • Declare 4 hole locations for mounting to arms
  • Drill plates a pair at one time, clamped together – [4] ¾” holes and [2] 1” holes
  • Align these plates by inserting the pins into these and clamping to arms prior to transfer punching holes
  • Transfer punch hole locations to arms on both sides
  • Drill 4 holes for loader arm attachment per each side, one side at a time
  • Bolt common cylinder mount to arms
  • Attach main cylinder (mounted only at top) and secondary cylinder (mounted only at bottom) to common cylinder mount

With common cylinder mounting attached to cylinders, work the second attachment points of both cylinders.

  • Attach bottom cylinder mount to main cylinder with pins
  • Fix the location of the bottom mount of the main cylinder (on each side of tractor) such that the loader arms are fully down in the retracted cylinder position.
  • Transfer punch locations of main cylinder bottom bolt holes
  • Drill bottom cylinder mounts with annular cutter mag drill - 3/4”
  • Mark locations on opposite side and drill with 13/16” annular cutter
  • Pin top of secondary cylinder to the QA Plate mounts
