One thing that blows me away, for nearly a decade now, is the lack of entrepreneurial spirit in the common man. It turns out that entrepreneurs are not common people, and according to Inc.com, only 2% of the population has an entrepreneurial mindset - also known as a Growth Mindset. My personal challenge in unleashing unprecedented collaboration is understanding at what point people are ready to contribure. So far I have observed that it is difficult for anybody to join an open source development process on a continuous basis. Only a small handful of contributors have been collaborating for many years - thank you to those who are. I have also observed that any enterprise can attract more people and grow once products and product sales happen. While I now understand that product-based financial feedback loops can incentivize people - I am still asking how to incentivize people prior to productization. To date, our only guess on that is to do an Incentive Challenge.
