Dear Participants,

We're excited to have you participate in the Open Source Microfactory STEAM Camp - here is our second logistics update and news for new participants. Pickup is at 8 PM CST USA time from Kansas City International Airport on Friday, June 28. Please fill out your Airline and arrival info so we know where to find you. If we don't hear from you, we're assuming that you have your transportation covered. Please use the Logistics Form for your flight information. There is internet at the airport. William Neal will be doing the pickup. His email is William Neal <william.j.a.neal@gmail.com> - and his Whatsapp is +1 519-694-1731. My phone number/Whatsapp is 816.284.4240, and my email is marcin@opensourceecology.org Please also fill out the Logistics Form to state your build preference for the machines we want to build. We will swarm on the top 2 or 3 choices that people indicate - and come to agreement on that by the first 1-2 days of the Camp - so we can focus our energies effectively on the group design/build. We have 15 partcipants at present - so practically speaking - it would be ideal to break into 2 teams, as doing more projects does not provide sufficient effort to get to a finished state. In summary - please fill out the Logistics Form if you haven't done so already so we can facilitate organization.

To get the most out of this workshop:

1. Bring a laptop, and download FreeCAD or use OSE Linux. If you cannot do this - ask us for help. You have an opportunity here to get functional proficiency in FreeCAD - but you can't do that without a laptop and a working copy of FreeCAD. We will have OSE Linux live USBs as a backup if you don't install FreeCAD beforehand.
2. Bring steel toed boots if you have them. We will be working with heavy objects in the workshop.
3. Bring protective eyewear, gloves. Earplugs are useful, too. Bring long sleeved clothing - no exposed skin is allowed in the workshop if we are doing metal fabrication.
4. Bring a mindset of curiosity and collaboration. It is about what we all can do - this is not about superstars but collaboration. We are testing the limits of collaborative design and build, with remote participants who help on the actual design part.

Also - please indicate your build preference there for days 5-9, as we'd like to prepare to the best of our ability based on your interests. We'd like to begin coordinating the build teams prior to the workshop as much as possible.
