Minimum Viable Product
- Cheap as Possible
- Modular
- Probably around 50cm by 1m conveyor belt (when looking at the top only, not total dimentions), but scalable
- DC, AC, or Hydraulic Operation
- Safe to use
- Interfaces with the Open Source Cash Register both for control and structure
- Optional Barcode Scanning Module + Bagging Module
Basic Design
Conveyor Belt Module
- A 50cm by 1m conveyor belt (when looking at the top only, not total dimentions)
- Uses a series of rollers that can be tensioned easily
Motor Module
- Either DC, AC or Hydraulic Motors depending on what the user has easily available to power them
Power Module
- Either electric (AC + DC), or hydraulic (Hydraulic quick disconnects + (AC + DC Power In) for control
- Also has a control USB C port for control of the conveyor by the Open Source Cash Register
Case Module
- Either a large 3d Print, or a welded metal enclosure that encloses all the other modules, both for structure, and looks
- Probably want to sand it/paint it/powder coat it for looks as well
Barcode Scanning Module
- An Open Source Barcode Scanner mounted below some glass to allow for quicker use than a handheld one
- Could also be replaced with a flat square are for manual scanning of barcodes
Control Module
- 1x Microcontoller
- ?x Servo Controller
Product Holding Area
- A place in between the (conveyor belt module + barcode scanning module) area, and the bagging module
- Is almost like a buffer or holding tank for the scanned goods
Bagging Module
- Is either a "bag carousel" , or just 3 dispensers one for reusable bags, one for paper disposable bags, and one for plastic dispoable bags
