Basics

- Essentially is a modified medicine dropper used for desoldering electronic componets

- Can also be increased to a spring loaded caulk gun like mechanism (but in reverse)

- Basic Desoldering

Industry Standards

- This basic bulb design could probably be printed using a flexible filament in a FDM printer, or a SLA elastomer, in one run

- This is a good exampe of a possible mounting mechanism

Basic Design

Bulb Design

- 3d Printed

- If using FDM use flexible filament

- If using SLA use an elastomer

Spring Design

Outer Casing

- essentially a metal tube

Spring

- a spring and a way to secure it in the outer casing

- Is in front of the plunger

Plunger + Catch

- This is very similar to a caulk gun but in reverse; when the trigger is pulled it retracts

Gasket

- Either store bought of 3d Printed; keeps the plunger airtight
