Basics

- A rocket engine that uses the heating of a liquid, using either a radioisotope, a fission reactor,, or possibly a fusion reactor, to produce thrust

- Has the highest specific impulse (exluding ion engines)

- Is useful only in space, or very high atmosphere

- Great as a heavy duty orbital control system, or as a deep space vehicle's propulsion system

- Uses a single fuel
