Introduction

Organizational learning applies to everything that OSE does as an organization. OSE's platform includes Extreme Learning - effective, rapid, interdisciplinary, immersive learning. Learning is important because OSE is creating a new culture of collaboration. In order to do so, it is important for OSE to teach a number of skills to its community. Skills that the community earns will be documented using badges.

This is important because OSE's central positioning includes Extreme Learning (of Applied Skills Towards Solving Pressing World Issues).

The Learning View includes anything related to rapid learning via distilled information, mentorship, and other means of Extreme Learning.

This is applicable at all the different development levels - from technical to enterprise.

For example - a distilled explainer on how to use Github, how to create animations from graphics, or any explainer for generalized OSE Development skills should be included. Badges should be associated with any such learning.

Any items specific to a particular machine or project - such as How to Design a CEB Press - should be under that specific project, and not, not under the Learning and Mentorship View.

Philosophy

OSE's positioning on Extreme Learning - “The Lynda.com of Applied Skills Learning for the Common Good.” All free access, motivated by ultimate distribution of power, spanning a wide range of digital age skills from regenerative development, distributive economics, github, numeracy, graphical representation of information, and programming. Value model: driving traffic to OSE development by providing solid skills to developers, and good relations with the global community. This contributes to the OSE brand via creating recognition as the definitive space for education towards: “Aplied Skills for the Common Good.” Positioning gains its power from an ethical stance of power distribution. Focus is on open tools, such that these become the preferred option. Requires metrics for the adoption of open tools - check in with existing communities regarding user base, and how we can track it.
