POI’s / Useful Places Near FeF

Basics

• This page (if not Category) aims to make a list of Points of Interest (POI’s) / Useful Places (Stores, Restaurants, Government DMV Type Offices etc) nearby FeF
• The main “target audience” is people out of town/new to the area

List

Boat Ramps

• If relevant (idk if there are any good enough lakes/rivers nearby etc)

Drug Stores/Pharmacies

• If people need to pick up prescriptions etc
• Some MAY have a clinic as well for things such as routine vaccination or flu meds etc

Fueling Stations

• Need input from the locals, but which ones are your favorite/nice ones in the area?
• Also can lookup + add Autogas , B-100 Biodiesel / Renewable Diesel , CNG / LNG , E-85 , Kerosene , and whatnot if local ones exist
• Where the nearest Rest Stop / larger gas stations like Bukees/Busy Bee/Truck Stops etc are can help with Route Planning too

Grocery Stores

• Y’all have Publix up there or are you in Food Lion / Golden Eagle territory?

Home Improvement Stores

• Insert Nearest Home Depot/Lowes/Menards etc here

Hospitals

• ER / Having it Pre-Qued on an Emergency Plan

Ice Machines / Stores

• Either gas stations with Bags of Ice in those coolers, or one of those “Twice the Ice” type hut things
• Useful for icing up the coolers while on the job and/or if FeF doesn’t have their own Ice Machine yet

Landfills/MRF/Household Hazmat Drop Off

• Depending on what Garbage is Collected, may need to make runs here
• Also Household Hazardous Waste Disposal
• ALSO may be able to network + do some Landfill Diversion etc

Lumberyards

• For picking up material if need be
• Also can have far better lumber in terms of not all bent etc

Scrapyards

• For dropping off old metal or Scrap Copper etc
• At least whatever OSE doesn’t self-process

Transit Connections

• Bus Stops
• Train Stations
• If relevant; in the USA sadly so may not be much to write about short of Amtrak 💀
