Fastest Roller in the World vs Airless
Double Wide with big bucket on rails, with 5 gal paint - [1]
Pro with years of practice - [2]
- 3x faster with airless - but is that really? This guy uses narrow brush and no technique. If you check tachnique above, the roller may win. [3]
Painting Beadboard
- First use a brush for grooves, then roller - [4]
- With roller, paint across, not parallel. Then brush to fill cracks. [5]
Sprayer solves the groove issue of having to fill in grooves with brush [6]
Airless vs Roller
- Sprayer wins on large areas, but loses on small areas becuase you have to mask to use a sprayer, typically.
- How is this non-power roller faster than airless? [11] Is there a paint compartment in the roller? [12]
- Wagner E Z Roller - 2x roller - paint inside handle! - [13]
airless wins with large area, and texture (uneven surface) which would be Seed Eco-Home with a lot of trim. [14]
Professionals use sprayer, but they backroll with a brush in order to allow for touchup because roller leaves a different texture and you want to touch up with roller rather than sprayer. [15]. Backrolling purpose - 1. to eliminate potential sprayer drips/lines and most importantly 2. to create a roller texture that is easy to match for touch ups.
