In Ubuntu 12.04 - searching for Gantt Chart in Synaptic Package Manager gets you a piece of software named Planner - http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/planner , formerly Mr. Project. It has HTML export, sample below. It's not transparent how to make one task end after another is finished.
