January 19 Cleaning up literature review. Can use inline citations effectively now. Thinking about pressure control of pumps and filtration units.

January 14

Emailed Pearce update. Ongoing discussion with Chuck H about cell density measurements in bioreactor - emailed Kerem.

January 7-11, 2013

Finishing equipment list, manufacturers, and components for OS version on appropedia page. Emailed Pal.

January 4-6, 2013

Process design without pH adjustment supported by new article from Pal's group, membrane filtration could be simplified to microfiltration and two-step nanofiltration. Received reply from Sepro, most likely supplier based on Pal research. Research started on OS crossflow filtration module.

January 2, 2013

MOST group started project page on appropedia. Ongoing email discussions on what hardware can be OS developed. Sent emails to membrane suppliers.

Sent Open source bioplastic 2012 update. Updated polylactic acid system engineering diagrams. Added decent melt solid review to literature review. Working on lit. review formatting for inline citations.

Finished collaborator update email to be sent in the next few days. Organizing literature review and filling in gaps. Organizing project for material implementation.
