Raspberry Pi Swarming

Can we devise a scheme for using multiple Raspberry Pis to work in parallel - for effective parallel computing? For example, paralleling FreeCAD to work on multiple Raspberry Pis? That may be complex, but here are some simpler examples - such as using multiple monitors controlled by a single raspberry pi.
