Dear Friend,

Please check this out – the folks at Open Source Ecology need help on their Civilization Starter Kit. Right now, they are trying to put a roof over their own heads – but interestingly – using some advanced, open source techniques. They are proposing hybrid Compressed Earth Brick/Strawbale construction and lumber – all from their open source tractor, CEB press, and sawmill. I wish they could really deliver $2/sq ft superinsulated natural building. They have a chip-in up for donations because their construction grant did not come in yet, and winter is coming.
