Revised 6in60 video to include a couple of shots of LifeTrac 5 working in New Orleans.
Coordinated with remote editor Owen Smithyman to cut the LifeTrac New Orleans cell phone videos into a single, satisfying film. He's working on it now.
Worked with Jean-Baptiste to add infographics for Ironworker, Backhoe and Brick Press for Dozuki. Also asked him to compile bio info so we can do a blog about his role as Lead Graphic Designer... creating infographics and Dozuki module images as well as graphics for videos.

Editing test step-by-step instructional video on Cab module of LifeTrac 5. Interviewed Jordan Phoenix at the time in detail. Compared the Step Instruction model with the real world build. Video will reflect this work. - Then plan to move the info to a Dozuki Module guide with text, photo and video.
Working on step instructions for Development Board etc.
Back in contact with Joe Justice regarding car build and OSE interest.

Completed review cut of 6in60+tractor
Goals:
Prep and begin test documentation of LifeTrac 5 cab for Dozuki and Instructional Video. I shot a long interview with Jordan for this purpose on the Spark shoot.
Set up Open Photo as our "Latakoo" for stills (will find equivalent if not appropriate)
Write the Documentation step instructions for the new Matrix.

Starting editing at 4:30am. Looks good.
Excellent meeting at Petersen Automotive Museum with Josh Hancock. Looked at their 17,000 sq ft. permanent "tented" event structure. Ideal to create a great shop for a build. Excellent possibiites.

Researching wiki search engines. John Stager a big help...he added a test Google search to his Log. -- Discovered that Elifarley has already added a good Google search function as "Custom Search" on wiki. I didn't realize that was there! It would be great if it could have sorting by Date, like John's version has.

Continued Planning session with Team
Researching other OS cars. Watched interesting video with Jay Rogers on "Jay Leno's Gararge" web series. Discovered that if the purchasers helps on the build it's much easier to register with Dept. Motor Vehicles - falls under "kit car" rules.

Reached out to longtime associate Josh Hancock for thoughts on tying open source car to "Detroit" Josh works connecting Detroit with Hollywood and is very well connected in the Auto Industry... awaiting response.
Re: Open Source Car eventl Looking at Agenda for Open Source Conference 2012. Been to many conferences on many topics but need to analyze and customize to our needs.

Further thinking on Open Source Car event
So maybe it's framed as OSE putting on an International Symposium on Open Source Cars with invited guests, Jann, Justice, Rogers as well as maybe a Detroit type etc etc. It's also an OSE education and build session.
The event is the first in a series of OSE educational/build events. Others not as "big" as this, but this one introduces the concept.
Big event still the culmination of weeks of design work as we discussed. (maybe the idea is taking the best of open source work done so far and re-mixing it as the OSE car)
Perhaps becoming more "educational" focused can help us raise money from sponsors...as well as a revenue model for builds.
Like the idea of doing it in Detroit. Perhaps in a closed auto facility.

Hard Drive with Spark material finally arrived. A great deal of material. Inputing now into our system.
Editing of Part 2 continues
Working with Jean-Baptiste on ideas for unifying graphics for the videos... text presentation styles for ID of people etc.
Sent video to Vintage Harmonists for scoring discussion.

Received next cut of Motherboard video from Emily James. Looks good. Planned for release next week.
Part 2 of 6in60 video coming together... focus will be on "victories" won amidst the difficulties of the time and lack of materials.
Outlining the focus:
The Ironworker prototype went together in about 12 hours.
The Backhoe's Pivot, Stick, Boom and Bucket all went together well.
We made some good headway with the Tread for the Microtractor
We decided to delay the car so we could do it in collaboration with other OS car projects. (We're in negotiations now.)
Instead we jumped ahead and built a new version of our Lifetrac in collaboration with Our School at Blair Grocery, from New Orleans. The project will be featured in a new documentary called The Spark. -- This new design shares several modules and design features with our Bulldozer and Truck. This tractor also features a new diesel engine power cube.

Good day at Design Sprint. Lots of technical progress on Torch Table, Hydrafabber and Welder.
Group helped input Dozuki placeholders for Marcin's list of modules for 26 of the GVCS. Worked with Jean-Baptiste on adding icons for most of the machines.
Problem again with exceeding 10 person limit. Began exploration of other option and collaborated with Katie.
