  • TPO, EPDM, and PVC are used as singly-ply roof membranes

Info request: I am interested in using 24-40 mil Polyethylene as a roofing membrane. We are interested in a flat roof using polyethylene, covered by a 1.5" layer of gravel for UV protection. The size we need is 17'x33' and 17'x45'. Can you suggest a polyethylene liner in your inventory that would be suitable for this application? I am also curious, why do people typically use EPDM, TPO, or PVC - but not polyethylene - as roofing membranes - given the cost and durability advantages of polyethylene?
