General

  • 2 versions - one without printer, where you learn to build one virtually from kit.
    • You can participate in this build to learn: Universal Axis, Universal Controller, 3D Printed bushings, nichrome heaters, building an extruder from scratch.
    • Extra: startup camp where we teach people to produce the kits for us: supply chain, quality control, production.
    • You can participate along with us - and build the printer, too, if you get the kit.
    • Basic participation includes Arduino lesson
    • May be a KiCad lesson if we prepare it in time. But without milling or hole drilling, this doesn't make much sense. The only way we can possibly manage is if we use a 1 mm bit and extra axis.
  • Goal for participants: 12x12 minimum. Needs lots of kits.
  • Large participation version - learn design, electronics, open source product development.
  • Extras - you get a 3d printer to take home with you
  • Base is 3D printer, we build around that
  • Upgraded version to print larger parts for shredder
  • Shredder is week 2
  • Filamenting is week 3
  • CNC Torching is week 4

Collaboration Strategy

  • Invite leading collaborators to report on digest of Best 'Quimmit To Make. (JOGL, Colorado, Chicago, Open Source Covid Medical Supplies, Helpful Engineering, Budmen, etc)
  • Make 10,000 masks in One Day.
