(1.5 minutes on 12 people at 2 hours per day)

How is that?

  • We have the Agroecologist keeping up the ecological, waterworks, and productive integrity of the site.
  • We have a Farmer to produce food.
  • We have the Cook doing food processing and storage to keep a year-round supply.
  • We have the Forester providing lumber and forest products.
  • We have the Textile Master producing fiber and cloth.
  • WE have the Engineer keeping the energy infrastructure - solar, wind, biogas for cooking and electricity.
  • We have the Builder/Site manager keeping up the buildings and site.
  • We have a Mechanic to keep the tractor and other machines running.
  • We have the Digital Fabricator providing various parts.
  • We have the Materials Scientist making bioplastic and aluminum from Clay.
  • We have the Digital Blacksmith producing virgin metals from scrap metal.
  • We have one more person - the organizer and accountant - keeping track of everything that goes on.

We have common harvest, where people have to chip in one week for harvest per year. We are outsourcing only the internet at this time, and we can't produce semiconductors.

These are not ordinary people, but extreme McGyvers, Teslas, and John Galts of the world. That is the extreme case of efficiency.

The next step is to demonstrate that if 12 people can do it, then 50 families (an average village scale of 200) can do it while retaining ample spare time for thriving - cultural and scientific development.
