Slurry Ice

From Open Source Ecology
Jump to: navigation, search

  • A slurry of water, small ice particles, and an antifreeze (typically salt, or alchohol, although others can be used)
  • Used mainly for product and food cooling
  • Commonplace in fishing
  • More effective than chilled brine/water, or ice due to the sort of "best of both worlds" nature of it'
  • Also unlike ice, it can be plumbed
