Dear David, dear Jia,
Yesterday we had a preparation call with Marcin and Lidia.
We discussed the standards, size, materials, motors, software that we are normally using - and we prepared some questions for you and your team.
- What are your current challenges? What could we help with?
- Can we have sample of their material (Regolith + algae) to use in our experiments? So we can contribute as closely as possible to your existing model?
- Geometry: do you want us to make
- Infill, pockets: double layer for insulation?
- How do you deal with irregular surface: Did you solve the challenge of the foundation/floor slab?
- What size do you want us to build at (scale)
- Temperature variations and distortion (should we simulate Mars weather)
- Opening frames. Prefab door, window, oculus (roof)
- Hole? Do we "print hole" or do we "cut holes"? Printing holes would mean we need to be able to turn the nozzle ON/OFF
- Inner membrane for air (bicycle principle with inner tube and tire)
