Subject line: What would you like to make? [Your own Personal Build Wish list]

Imagine…

You just finished Summer X

You have all the skills, the tools, the support network you need to be able to build just about anything you want…

What would you like to build?

A cozy mini-house by a lake? An electric RC? Your own Aquaponic garden? Or simply a sign above your entrance?

Today I would like you to start your own “Personal Build Wish list”. It’s a list of all the things that you might want to build some day.

It’s a fun exercise to help you open your eyes to the the infinite possibilities that reveal themselves when you change your mindset from a consumer to a maker. The more you exercise your “maker muscle”, the more you will see exciting build opportunities all around you.

So let’s get started! Here’s what I’d like you to do:

1. Open up the Personal Wish List document in the Wiki (It's link #2 in the category “Onboarding Process”)

2. Make a duplicate of the Google doc so you can edit it.

3. Start writing. List everything and anything that you might like to build. Nothing is too big or too small, too important or too trivial. Just write, write, write - for 5-10 minutes straight.

4. When you are done, click the blue button in the upper right corner that says SHARE and set the link sharing permissions to “ON, public on the web” and “Anyone can edit”.

5. Copy the link of your document. Go to this page, write your name in the page and make your name it into a hyperlink that links to your wish list.

6. Put a link to your wish list document on your work log as well.
