Talk:Translation

Depending on which main page is chosen, we may translate the Template:GVCS List or the Template:Site header. The French text for the latter is available on the Main Page-FR.

Also I was thinking about translating Evolve to freedom, as the link appears on the main page and it would give the reader an idea of what's possible with the GVCS. --EtienneD 06:52, 16 February 2011 (PST)

Evolve to freedom is now translated to French. I thought I could find a French equivalent for "Global Village Construction Set", like "Kit de Construction de Village Global". Any advice ?--EtienneD 13:41, 16 February 2011 (PST)

Si l'on en croit Marshall McLuhan, il n'y a qu'un seul village global ou planétaire. Donc ce serait plutôt: "kit de construction du village global". Mais je trouve l'expression un peu lourde. Je me demande si on ne pourrait pas plutôt traduire par "kit village global".--sourinux 09:11, 28 February 2011 (PST)

Wondering if we could have such a multilingual wiki as the Document foundation with subpages named after the language code and a 'lang' template for automatically adding the right banner on top of the page. --sourinux 22:43, 1 March 2011 (PST)

Great idea, I'll see how to implement that, merci beaucoup! --Elifarley 02:48, 2 March 2011 (PST)

Hi there ! Aren't the Featured Page and True Fan Templates subject to change from time to time ? Should we really translate these pages ? Second thing, is someone working on the OSE Specs french translation ? I can start now if it's not the case. --EtienneD 07:18, 13 June 2011 (PDT)

First, up to you, I think. Second, I don't think anyone's doing that, so translate away and thanks! LucasG 08:31, 13 June 2011 (PDT)

I'm back in business ! I updated the GVCS_List/fr so far, and I'll update the Crash_course_on_OSE/fr ASAP. I couldn't find the forum dedicated to translation, any ideas where's it hiding ?? --EtienneD 10:50, 7 February 2012 (CET)
