The list on this page does not match the list on this page: GVCS. There may be more than one discrepancy, but I note the GVCS page includes a Nickel-Iron_Battery while this page does not. This page has a boat - a m-f-ing boat - the GVCS page does not. Ron Broberg 06:52, 22 July 2011 (CEST)

Thanks for finding the m-f-ing discrepancy (not to mention editing it and fixing it instead of just blurting out a m-f-ing comment)! I really didn't think a boat was part of it, but couldn't find it.

Besides, what's so wrong with a m-f-ing boat? Don't you think that people that live along waterways would want an open source model to build?

Try contributing positively instead of m-f-ingly. Ryan Lutz 22:06, 22 July 2011 (CEST)

Cultural reference (ie ... its a joke). Hint: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7yfISlGLNU Sorry if it ruffled a feather, meant to tickle up a smile. Ron Broberg 22:39, 22 July 2011 (CEST)

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOK. Sorry Ron, I get it now... I loved that vid from the first time I saw it. My bad! Ryan Lutz 00:08, 23 July 2011 (CEST)

Chris F and I were also trying to figure out what the last tool was once I added them up and only got to 49. The boat seemed like an OK placeholder until we discovered what had been forgotten. A sincere thank you to you for aiding in that, you can now see the whole GVCS list and the proposed standard wiki tool names on Wikinames. Ryan Lutz 00:11, 23 July 2011 (CEST)

Updating and Sorting

Mark, et al.

  • Can the owner of the Google Doc please update the list to include, at minimum, the current 50 tools?
  • Can the list be sorted alphanumerically? (see: http://opensourceecology.org/gvcs.php)
  • Can redundancies be removed? (i.e. RototillerRototiller, Hay_CutterHay_Cutter)
