Tesla Valve
Basics
- Not a TRUE vale, as flow can go backwards if given enough time/pressure/flow rate, but it is significantly more difficult, and takes longer to "start' than the chosen direction
- Has no seals or moving parts however
- Thus allows near maitnence free check valves, unique pulse jets, and it's most common adaptation Labyrinth Seals
- One emerging application is in Microfluidics
