It all happens when too many people are sleepwalking, when people learn apathy. Education for psycho-social integration of the individual is a good start, providing opportunities for possibilities (core of OSE education towards the Radical Man). It seems that freeing up peoples' time can contribute to greater involvement - but that is more a question of inner growth than meaterial prosperity. Material abundance is a start.
