Tandem Axle Suspension

Axle or Kit

  • 21k triple axis with wheels and brakes $3600 [2]
    • Note that 7k axles are $700, while 16k axles are $3700 - why the huge jump?
  • Double axle kit is disproportionately expensive compared to triple. 20k lb double axle kit - $8.4k [3]

    • Note that the 3500 lb version of this is disproportionately expensive at 80% the price at 1/2 the spec, at $850 [6]

  • Even an F150 can pull 14000 lb [15] on a ball, not even gooseneck.
  • No special license if truck is under 26k lb [16]
